Default Rudy Hartono was in Town

    undefined

Last week Rudy Hartono and Foo Kok Keong at the request of some christian groups gave a badminton clinic to 250 people in Genting Highlands.

I didn't go as I didn't like Genting and didnt want to associate with other religions.

Besides giving tips and demos he also talked about how he nearly lost eveything in his bypass in Australia and also
the horrible weather when he won his first All England.

I think Rudy is only too happy to give clinics when invited especially if it is tied to religion.

You should have attended the clinic and just skip the religious instruction part. It's not like they'll demand you to convert to their faith before you can join the clinic, right? It must be fantastic to see the old master in action. And who knows, maybe he'll make you see the light.

I guess it should be a great lesson for the kids there. I wonder, where on earth does Genting Highland have the badminton court?

The halls are located in PeaceHaven. PeaceHaven is a complex owned by FGA, the church I am worshipping. Its just after the Chin Swee Temple corner.

Reading from an FGA or B&P newsletter, Rudy had a heart complication I remember and had an operation. He was deep in a 'dreamy' manner that he asked God that if he is to live on, he shall devote all his life to Him. And God did and from there onwards he became one of His men of work.

The story is much more complicated than this but that is the gist of it. I'm not sure if the newsletter is still around, but if it is I may reproduce it here, provided the moderators allow it, which I doubt.
